Engineering Master Scheduler
Description: The individual will support engineering leads in managing large software and hardware development projects with the Navy. (S)he will be responsible for assisting in identification and planning of tasks required to deliver software and hardware upgrades. The individual will work with both the engineering team and the program office to ensure smooth communication and alignment of priorities. S(he) will assist the engineering leads in oversight of day to day operations. S(he) will develop and manage project schedules including keeping the engineers aware of the schedule and expectations, as well as keeping leadership aware of the development status and any risks or issues. S(he) will also work with engineering team members to track and report work progress and completion status. S(he) will provide the leadership and analytical skills to identify risks and issues early in the process and then provide recommended mitigations and solutions. S(he) will provide weekly status reports to the Program Office IMS, monthly resource analyses, and new schedule inputs as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years project management experience
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
- Experience leading a project team to ensure successful on time and on budget execution
- Experience with developing and managing a new project’s schedule
- Experience with resource loaded schedules and providing resource analysis reports
- Ability to analyze a schedule for critical paths, risks, and accuracy
- Experience developing and presenting technical and programmatic briefs
- Detail oriented, self-starter, with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience with LeSS (Large-Scale Scrum) & SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
- Agile tooling suite background (i.e. Jira and Confluence, Rally, Agile Central)
- Experience in working with Integrated Product Team (IPT) or large project team of more than 10 team members
- SPAWAR Experience
